We deliver a complete, live event package involving teamwork, creativity, planning, presentation skills and a lot of fun. Teams are tasked with creating an original idea to present to our ‘dragons’ trying to tempt them to invest in their new business concept and Company, with an offer of equity in return for cash. Scoring is judged by the entire audience to establish the best team effort overall.

What's Involved...

Following an introduction and a personalised brief from our Host, guests work in teams to brainstorm ideas for an original product or service to put to the Dragons during the final part of the event. The brief may contain specific directives to suit your own objectives (e.g. their idea must be intended to improve the experience of an International traveler) and can stipulate other key requirements.

Each team receives a set of stationery material and props to assist them in preparing an 'eye-catching' presentation to promote their idea. At least 90 minutes is normally allowed for preparation. Teams then take to the stage in turn, with one or more members given around two minutes to put their 'live pitch' to the Dragons, concluding with a proposal for their target investment amount and their offer for equity in return. The Dragons now begin to question the candidate(s) about their idea/product, often exposing serious shortcomings of feasibility, practicality and potential profit. If there is an 'interest' from one or more Dragons, final negotiations can be made before accepting or rejecting any hypothetical offer.

Scoring is normally done by each of the other teams competing, as well as by the Dragons themselves. Marks are given for the idea, how well it was thought out, how realistic the financial elements were and the overall quality of the presentation. Following the final effort, scores are collated and the winners (and losers!) announced shortly afterwards.

Once you have accepted a full proposal and quotation from us and have a date and venue booked (which we can help with, if necessary), we will send you a detailed booking form to sign and return to secure the booking!
